COVID-19 Update Apr, 2, 2021: Seasons Clarington

April 2, 2021

COVID-19-Blog

Hello everyone,

Durham Region Health Department (Public Health) has confirmed that we have a positive staff case of COVID-19.  As a result, Seasons Clarington is being placed into outbreak status.

They have advised that residents should isolate themselves in the comfort of their suites. Residents deemed to have been in contact with the staff member will be tested first, then we will undertake mass testing.   We will inform you of the results as soon as we have them.

We will deliver all meals, snacks, activities and conduct twice daily wellness checks starting with lunch today.  Residents are asked to remain on-site, and visits will not be permitted during this time. Any requests for access to the home by an Essential Designated Caregiver will need to be requested and approved in advance by Seasons Clarington and Public Health. At this time, we encourage you to keep in touch with your loved one via phone, text or email. Our team members are more than happy to discuss alternative options to help you stay connected.

All team members are always asked to self-assess for COVID-19 symptoms and exposure risk using our screening tool before reporting for their shift.  We have started contact tracing efforts and will alert those who were in close contact with this individual.

Please rest assured that the health and safety of all our staff and residents is our greatest priority.   We will work collaboratively with Public Health and follow all directives they set forth.  Thank you all for your cooperation and support.  We will continue to update you as more information becomes available.

Sincerely,

LeighAnne Voll
